As a member of the Corus driving force, you will have to be fully compliant through your entire duration of being employed. Therefore, the compliance team will be assessing your documents periodically to make sure you are fully up to date and that none of your qualifications or licences need renewing or have expired.
It may seem like a hassle but is necessary to keep everything above board and legit.
If you have moved address, then you will need to let us know as soon as possible so we can update our system. You will need to provide us with proof of your new address.
Furthermore, if you have a new contact phone number or email address you should, likewise, notify us as soon as possible so that you don't end up missing out on shifts.
Any penalties you may incur whilst driving for Corus will be your responsibility and you will be liable for them. If you receive a speeding fine whilst driving for Corus, the amount will be deducted from your wages. If you incur any penalties outside of work, you must also inform us of this for our records.
When you initially register with Corus, you will have to provide 2 previous employer references covering anything from 2-5 years depending on the industry you're working for. Alongside this you must also provide two character references who have known you for at least 5 years. Your character references cannot be related to you in any way.
Candidates applying for driving or industrial jobs will generally require a minimum of 2 years employment references and at least 2 references for each client. However, some clients may require further referencing.
Our compliance team will then contact all of your referees by phone, email, or post to obtain sufficient references.
